Hi! I'm Shirley. For the past several years I've served Hackert Lake Association as Secretary and Webmaster. Last year, because I felt it important to reinstate the Newsletter, I volunteered to get it going... at first probably two issues per year. As it worked out, our Officers and committee members decided it beneficial to send the Newsletter more frequently. Meeting attendance is usually lower than we would like and the whole purpose of the association is to educate and inform Hackert Lake residents and to take care of this beautiful natural resource.

Just prior to the 2003 Annual Meeting I stepped down from the Secretary office. Linda Ochs graciously volunteered to take over the position and our President, Bob Haupt appointed her to take my place. You can expect the newsletter, the website and the minutes will improve with this change. Linda is already proving herself an effective and productive Secretary. She and her husband John have already done a great deal for the association, so now Linda will be doing some of that in an official capacity.

The website format will remain pretty much as it is. I changed the portal to a blog format because it is the easiest and most efficient way to get information to people on the internet. Notice you can add comments at the end of this post. I hope you take advantage and use it. I'll probably be adding more features as the blog grows, but first have a few projects to work on with and for the association.
